Environment:  benthopelagic; marine; depth range 160 - 628 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Sagami Bay, Japan to the East China Sea; Chesterfield Islands (Ref. 11897). Eastern Pacific: Hawaiian Islands (Ref. 58302).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 4-6; Dorsal soft rays (total): 31-35; Anal spines: 4-4; Anal soft rays: 13-17; Vertebrae: 29-29
Biology:  Found in middle to benthic zone with sandy mud bottom (Ref. 11230). Also Ref. 58302.
