Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 1565 - 1674 m
Distribution:  Southern Ocean: Antarctica, Ross Sea.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 2-2; Dorsal soft rays (total): 28-28; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 18-19; Vertebrae: 37-37. White fins, unspotted body, and more gill-rakers (21) on the first arch than others in the genus.
Biology:  Known only from the holotype.
