Closely resembles P. longimanus but has more pectoral fin rays and pored lateral line scales (Ref. 37816). Characterized by having 4-17 coarse serrae at upper margin of preopercle; greatest depth of body 2.9-3.6 in SL; rounded caudal fin (Ref. 90102). |
A secretive species that inhabits coral or rubble habitats of deep channels and exposed reefs (Ref. 1602, 58302). Benthic (Ref. 58302). Solitary in crevices (Ref 90102). |
