Family:  Rivulidae (Rivulines), subfamily: Rivulinae
Max. size:  2.62 cm SL (male/unsexed); 2.76 cm SL (female)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: known only from the type locality, a temporary lagoon in the rio Meia Ponte floodpalins in Brazil.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-11; Anal soft rays: 14-16; Vertebrae: 25-25. Differs from all its congeners by the following unique characters: 23-24 scales in longitudinal series; pectoral fin without dark marks; frontal squamation D-patterned; anterior section of supraorbital series of neuromasts interrupted; and 25 vertebrae (Ref. 57947).
