Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: Gasconade and Osage River drainages in southern central Missouri, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in quiet pools and backwaters with submerged or emergent vegetation, usually over mud or sand, in small to medium rivers. Swims in midwater.
