Dorsal spines (total): 11-13; Dorsal soft rays (total): 5-7; Anal spines: 11-13; Anal soft rays: 8-10. Caudal fin rounded, with median ray not prolonged into an unbranched filament; a white pelvic filament; unpaired fins of male with a succession of bands (striped on anal and dorsal, concentric on caudal) in the following sequence, from distal to proximal: narrow white or hyaline, narrow black, narrow bluish or bluish-greenish, and broad black or reddish black (Ref. 33108). Differs from Parosphromenus sumatranus in missing the conspicuous black spot at the posterior extremity of the dorsal-fin base; and a white pelvic fin filament (vs. black) (Ref. 56386). |
