Family:  Paraulopidae (Cucumber fishes)
Max. size:  8.5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range - 200 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Japan, South China Sea and southern Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-11; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 7-8; Vertebrae: 39-40. Body pale gray dorsally with a midlateral iridescent stripe, three large black blotches and two or three small black blotches alternately on lateral surface, and six pairs of olive spots dorsally (Ref. 49923).
