Distribution: | The holotype was captured to the northwest of Mawson bank at 1431–1658 m (Ref. 90026). | |||
Diagnosis: | V 68, D 61, C 7, P 21, radials 4 (3+1), R1, R2, R3, R4 notched; pc 5. Teeth simple, mostly uniserial except irregular near symphysis. Mandibular symphyseal pores well separated. Gill opening short, completely above pectoral base, not reaching uppermost pectoral fin ray. Gill flap absent. Pectoral notch rays rudimentary. Head 17% SL, interorbital wide, about 50% HL, LLD 13% HL. Gill cavity blackish, peritoneum black, stomach probably solid black (Ref. 90026). | |||
