Dorsal spines (total): 10-10; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-10; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Several prominent exserted canine teeth at anterior ends of upper and lower jaws; longest tooth in upper jaw 9.9-11.6 % in snout length, 6.3-8.7 % in postorbital head length; longest tooth in lower jaw 9.2-10.2 % in snout length, 6.5-6.9 % in postorbital head length; lateral line with 69 or 70 tubed scales; caudal fin deeply forked. |
Known depth of capture is 200 m from Basilisk Passage, Papua New Guinea. |
