Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 183 - 350 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: from South Africa to Kenya and Madagascar.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 3-3; Dorsal soft rays (total): 21-22; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 13-14. Reddish-pink above, white ventrally; all fins reddish-pink except for pelvic fins that are mostly white in color (Ref. 6648).
