Diagnosis: |
Dorsal spines (total): 2-2; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-8; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 5-5; Vertebrae: 29-29. Distinguished from all congeners by having the following characters: 19-31 premaxillary teeth
(vs. 10-20); 18-27 dentary teeth (vs. 11-19); caudal peduncle depth 6.2-7.6% (vs. 7.6-11.5% SL); dorsal-fin spinelet rectangular in shape (vs. triangular or quadrangular); suture in the posteromesial portion of the paired basipterygium long- same size of the basipterygium medial cartilage (vs. suture smaller-one to two third of the basipterygium medial cartilage) (Ref. 93039).
