Biology: |
Found in ditches, canals, ponds. Occurs at the surface in habitats with dense growth of aquatic plants. Feeds on small crustaceans, insects and protozoans (Ref. 12693). Non-annual breeder. Is very difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139). Not seen in markets (Ref. 12693). |
