Max. size:  8.7 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 1 - 22 m
Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: Bahamas to Puerto Rico. Recently reported from Tobago and Barbados (Ref. 51183).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Uncommon species found on shallow sandy bays (Ref. 34024). Oviparous, with oval pelagic eggs floating in a gelatinous mass (Ref. 205).
