Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: Bermuda and Bahamas to Venezuela.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Rare species inhabiting shallow coastal waters (Ref. 34024). Found on sandy bottom near reefs (Ref. 51183). Oviparous, with oval pelagic eggs floating in a gelatinous mass (Ref. 205).
