Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 0 - 412 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Taiwan, Indonesia, Australia (Queensland) and New Caledonia.
Diagnosis:  Vertebrae: 158. Anterior median vomerine teeth enlarged. Posterior nostril on top of head about midway between posterior margin of eye and occiput. Mature at 43 cm TL. Other characteristics: Lateral line pores 44.
Biology:  Minimum depth reported taken from Ref. 86942.
