Max. size:  1.8 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  pelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: only known from the Barotse floodplains (Ref. 120641).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 14-15; Anal soft rays: 10-11
Biology:  Inhabits small streams associated with seasonally flooded plains. Always captured from dense strands of submerged or emergent aquatic macrophytes adjacent to the stream margin. Feeds on tiny aquatic invertebrates.
