Max. size:  15 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: Endemic to the southern half of Lake Tanganyika.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  The contents of the intestines which were examined indicate a carnivorous diet (Ref. 7343).
