Biology: |
Not rock-bound, may migrate through the very shallow waters of the lake. Although the gut contents indicate a shrimp menu, this species has been known to ambush young cichlids. A substrate spawner which has often been observed to spawn in empty snail shells found on the sand floor (Ref. 7343). |
