Max. size:  81 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 203 - 225 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: South China Sea, off the northwest shelf of Australia, at Chesterfield Bank and New Caledonia.
Diagnosis:  Body with a blotch behind head above pectoral fins, with 2 dark blotches on dorsal fin and numerous spots over the body; scales in about 74-85 vertical rows. Body depth 29-33% SL (Ref. 39597).
Biology:  Found on the continental slope. Benthic (Ref. 75154).
