This species is distinguished by the following characters: bicolor pattern of the oral cavity, with large areas of dark pigment on light background; head length 2.9-3.1 times in SL; maximum body height 22.4-24.2% SL, preanal distance 44.1-49.8% (51.2%); A 29-31 rays; developed gill rakers on first arch 16-17, the longest 9.1-12.3% (usually less than 12%) of head length; pectoral fin light (Ref. 96155). |
