Family:  Moringuidae (Worm or spaghetti eels)
Max. size:  40 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 0 - 3 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: Madagascar to Fiji (Ref. 90102); north to Japan (Ref. 41282); south to , Indonesia (Ref. 45255).
Diagnosis:  Vertebrae: 148-148. Description: Characterized by its enlarged eyes; well developed pectoral fin, length 6-7 in HL; body bicolored, upper portion of head and sides are dark grey, and silvery white below; body depth 60-90 in TL; head length 12-16 in TL; 90-95 lateral-line pores anterior to anus (Ref. 90102).
