Africa: only known from the type locality in the lower Congo river in Democratic Republic of the Congo (Ref. 39599). |
Dorsal spines (total): 14-14; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-10; Anal spines: 6-7; Anal soft rays: 10-11; Vertebrae: 24-26. A species of the C. congicum species group with characters typical of that assemblage. Within this group, C. milleri may be distinguished by the following characters: unusually low fin-spine counts for Ctenopoma (D XIV, A VI-VII), and a distinctive, mottled color pattern. |
