congeners by the following characters: anus is positioned closer to the insertion of pelvic fin than the origin of anal fin; posterior margins of predorsal and lateral scales are smooth or slightly irregular, not laciniate; the least depth of caudal peduncle 6.7-8.5% SL; total gill raker of first arch 16-20, modally 18-19 (Ref. 123107). |
Biology: |
Collected on the coastal edge of the lagoon-salt marsh complex: a salt marsh with channels bordered by reeds and saw grass and the bottom peaty. Size at maturity at 2.4 cm SL (Ref. 123107). |
