Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: off the coast of Nigeria.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 10-10; Dorsal soft rays (total): 17-18; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 8-8; Vertebrae: 26-26. Differs from all other congeners by its lips mostly covered with very small scales, upper lip lacking rugosities, lower lip with rugosities along dorsal part; and maxilla almost squared off poteriorly where dorsal and posterior boarders of maxilla forming a right angle (Ref. 78426).
