Max. size:  22.5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Maroni and Mana rivers of Suriname and French Guiana.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occupies the same biotope as C. ternetzi. C. ternetzi lives in the rocky zones of rapids where it finds shelter against back currents. Stays in shallow waters with bright sunlight (Ref. 35237).
