Dorsal spines (total): 6-6; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-8; Anal soft rays: 6-6; Vertebrae: 18-19. This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following characters: D VI,8; pelvic-fin rays mostly 7, pectoral-fin rays 21–23. Colouration: body brown, peritoneum with gray pigmentation, and circular or irregular light pattern on the dark floor of the mouth (Ref. 131498). |
Found on sandy mud bottom (Ref. 11230). Oviparous (Ref. 205), multiple spawner (Ref. 32832). Depth range in the East China Sea and the Yellow Sea is between 30-500 m (Ref. 11230) |
