Description: Characterized by pale brown color on back and white below; prominent dark brown midlateral stripe; juvenile with yellow snout and dark brown patch basally on caudal fin; adult with dorsal and caudal fins yellow and lower head with narrow yellow stripe; enlarged pore anterior and slightly medial to posterior nostril and another lying below and anterior to posterior nostril; pelvic fins 1.8-2.0 in head length (Ref. 90102). |
Solitary and secretive in reef crevices in 60-80 m (Ref 90102). |
