Diagnosis: mouth subinferior; lips well-developed, lower lip largely interrupted; two pairs of well-developed barbels, anterior pair nearly equal to, and posterior pair 1.3x eye diameter; 25-27 scales in lateral line; last simple ray of dorsal fin ossified and 114% of HL (Ref. 81639).
Description: medium-sized species, body relatively elevated; scales longitudinally striated; scale formula: 4.5-5.5/25-27/3.5-4.5/2.5/12; D: IV, 9-11; A: III, 5-6; P: 18; V: 10; lateral line complete; dorsal fin with concave border, (Ref. 81639).
Coloration: ground color metallic brown; fins pigmented with brown (Ref. 81639). |
Maximum TL was recorded at 19.6 cm (Ref. 2801). |
