Description: Characterized by semi-translucent pale yellowish body with blue iris; silvery cheek patch; fins clear to slightly yellowish; male with fine yellow tip on upper caudal fin lobe; longitudinal scale series 28-30; head 3.2-3.5 in SL; eye 2.5-2.9 in head length; greatest depth of body 3.8-4.5 in SL (Ref. 90102). |
| Inhabit mangrove swamps close inshore. Nothing is known of its biology. This species is too small to be of any commercial value but may be taken as food by young of commercial fish species (Ref. 9836). |
