Max. size:  5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  Africa: upper Zambezi river drainage in northwestern Zambia and tributaries of the upper Kasai drainage (middle Congo River basin) in Democratic Republic of the Congo; possibly also in the adjacent part of eastern Angola (Ref. 59344).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in small rivers and brooks in the gallery forest (Ref. 59344), possibly over rocky substrate (Ref. 7248). 5.5 cm max TL (Ref. 3788). Not a seasonal killifish (Ref. 27139).
