Distribution:  South America: Cupixi River in Amapá, Brazil.
Diagnosis:  Vertebrae: 33-33. Presence of 0-10 odontodes in the opercle. Body is covered with close-set spots. Presence of a buccal papilla. Presence of adipose fin. Having 6-8 teeth (Ref. 56681).
