Environment:  pelagic; freshwater; brackish; depth range - 0 m
Distribution:  Oceania: Bunbury to Shark Bay, Western Australia and Gladstone, Queensland to Lakes Entrance, Victoria.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 16-19; Vertebrae: 52-58. Relatively shorter lower jaw compared to head length, especially at larger sizes.
Biology:  Found inshore (Ref. 7300).
