Max. size:  9 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; marine; depth range 1 - 10 m
Distribution:  Southwest Pacific: central New South Wales to Port Phillip Bay, Victoria, USA.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 30-34; Dorsal soft rays (total): 3-4; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 18-23. Pelvic fin rays thick, finger-like (Ref. 9002). Uniformly light brown to greenish; some pale mottling, usually a distinct dark stripe through eye, white on snout (Ref. 9002).
Biology:  Inhabits coastal rocky outcrops and usually found on shallow algae rock to about 10 m (Ref. 9002).
