Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Oceania: known only from the vicinity of Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea in the Laloki River and its tributaries including the Brown and Goldie rivers.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 13-13; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-13; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 10-11
Biology:  Found in rocky pools of lowland streams (Ref. 2847). Eggs are guarded and fanned by the male parent (Ref. 205). Aquarium conditions: pH=7.2, H=10, 26°C water temperature, egg layer, carnivore (Ref. 6398).
