Max. size:  7.3 cm (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  Africa: Lakes Edward and George and Kazinga channel.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in inshore regions especially near papyrus shores where the bottom is sandy (Ref. 4983). Feeds mostly on chironomid larvae, although emergent aquatic Diptera are also eaten when available (Ref. 558).
