Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: a small forest tributary of the Mapaoni River, upper Jari River Basin, Massif du Mitakara in French Guiana.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 2-2; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-7; Anal soft rays: 6-6. Description: pelvic fin i,5; anal fin i,5 (Ref. 116863).
Biology:  Inhabits rocky, shallow (20-60 cm depth) mountain creek with medium to strong currents, and some pools (Ref. 116863).
