Biology: |
The type locality in the upper Kumbu Creek at Kumbu Falls (430 m asl) is a small mountain stream with 2.5-3.7 m width, 28-50 cm water depth, with cool (23.1-23.2°C) water, high dissolved oxygen content of 93-96% saturation and 7.08-7.72 mg/L, a pH of 7.0-7.5, conductivity 30.8-31.6 μS/cm, a current strength of 0.29-0.56 m/s taken on 12 July 2014, bottom substrate consisting of sand, gravel, pebbles, boulders and bedrock, and mostly clear water. The creek is sheltered by overhanging vegetation, leaf litter and some woody debris (Ref. 116863). |
