Dorsal spines (total): 8-8; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-9; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Description: Characterized by overall red color; iris yellowish; incomplete lateral line with 4-5 tubed scales; greatest depth of body 2.7-2.8 in SL (Ref. 90102). |
Biology: |
Inhabits sheltered lagoon waters with scattered coral outcrops (Ref. 11890). Solitary and cryptic, seldom seen during day (Ref 90102). |
