Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-8; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 7-7. This species has dorsal to anal fin-ray formula 8/8; unbranched pectoral-fin rays; when alive or fresh, there is a distinct black stripe along the backbone and when preserved, with a strong black pigment along scale pockets on the ventral half of the sides (Ref. 85481). |
