Epiplatys multifasciatus (Boulenger, 1913)

Family:  Nothobranchiidae (African rivulines)
Max. size:  6 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  Africa: widespread in the Congo River basin in Cameroon, Republic of Congo and Democratic Republic of the Congo (Ref. 47774). Also in the upper Ogowe in Gabon and upper Kouilou-Niari basin in Republic of Congo (Ref. 47774, 80395).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in streams, small rivers and brooks under forest cover (Ref. 47774). 7 cm max TL (Ref. 3788). Not a seasonal killifish. Is very difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
