Max. size:  7 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: divided distribution: tributaries of the Steelpoort-Limpopo in southern Africa, and headwaters of the upper Zambezi, Kafue, and upper Congo River systems in Zambia and Democratic Republic of the Congo (Ref. 7248, 52193), including the Lufira, Lualaba-Upemba and Luapula-Mweru (Ref. 2970).
Diagnosis:  Well-defined spots on flanks (Ref. 122753).
