Diagnosis: deeper bodied than D. kiwinge; premaxillary pedicel rather prominent, giving the dorsal head profile a more concave appearance above the eye (Ref. 55954). |
Encountered usually in shallow water in vegetated and sandy areas. Swims in midwater. Feeds on small fish (such as juvenile Utaka) and invertebrates (Ref. 5595). |
