Max. size:  2.9 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 240 - 345 m
Distribution:  Southeast Pacific: western part of the Sala y Gomez Ridge, and at the junction between this ridge and the Nazca Ridge.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 3-5; Dorsal soft rays (total): 20-22; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 23-25. Sexual dimorphism in the structure of the first dorsal fin, first ray thickened and very long in males, slender and short in females; large head, 2.3-2.6 times in SL (Ref. 41739).
