Max. size:  40.2 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 15 - 40 m
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: Senegal to Angola (Ref. 5512).
Diagnosis:  Diagnosis: no lateral line on blind side of body; 84-91 mid-lateral line scales; 14-16 transversal scales between the mid-lateral line and the margino-dorsal lateral line (Ref. 81682).
Biology:  Found on sand and mud bottoms of coastal waters (Ref. 2683). Feeds on a wide range of bottom-living invertebrates.
