Max. size:  6 cm TL (male/unsexed); 5 cm NG (female)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; pH range: 7.19999980926514 - 8; dH range: 6 - 15
Distribution:  Central America: Jamaica.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits shallow (1.5 m), crystal clear waters (pH 8.2) with a bottom of sand and some soft patches of silt. Hides among submerged and floating aquatic vegetation. Feeds on damselfly and dragonfly nymphs, other aquatic larvae, ostracods, copepods and snails. Eggs measure 1.2-1.4 mm in diameter and hatch in about 9 days (Ref. 13498). Not a seasonal killifish. Is difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
