Max. size:  14 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: in upper Potomac River drainage in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia in the USA; and in Cowpasture River (in James River drainage) in Virginia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits rocky runs and pools of creeks and small to medium rivers, often near vegetation.

Threat to humans:  harmless
