Family:  Gobiesocidae (Clingfishes and singleslits), subfamily: Cheilobranchinae
Max. size:  7 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range - 40 m
Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean: southern Australia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 5-6; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 5-6. Caudal fin rounded (Ref. 9002). Yellow to orange, densely covered with dark to bright red spots, usually very red in deep water (Ref. 9002).
Biology:  Usually found among sponges and ascidians (Ref. 9002). Cleans other fishes, probably feeding on small parasites (Ref. 9002).
