Family:  Mochokidae (Squeakers or upside-down catfishes), subfamily: Chiloglanidinae
Max. size:  6.1 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: Athi and Tana River basins in Kenya (Ref. 52331, 105400).
Diagnosis:  Vertebrae: 34-35
Biology:  Oviparous (Ref. 205). Lips greatly enlarged in a big flat sucker; occurs in rapids and fast flowing waters; clings onto stones and can even climb up waterfall; feeds on algae and aquatic insects (Ref. 36900).
