Max. size:  9.82 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 280 - 363 m
Distribution:  Pacific Ocean: western Indonesia and the Hawaiian Islands.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 3; Dorsal soft rays (total): 13-15; Anal soft rays: 13-14. Female first spine of first dorsal fin shorter than second spine. Male first spine of first dorsal fin bearing a filament. Upper third of caudal fin with a dark streak (Ref 42912).
Biology:  Benthic on sand (Ref. 58302).
