Dorsal spines (total): 1-3; Dorsal soft rays (total): 2-14; Anal soft rays: 13-13. Eyes in head, 1.9-2.2. Two simple strong spines on preoperculum and suboperculum (Ref. 232). |
Biology: |
Found in deep water, 150-600 m, on muddy bottoms. Feeds on benthic invertebrates, mainly worms and crustaceans (Ref. 53643). |
